Peter Fudge

Peter Fudge has been designing gardens for over 20 years and has established one of Australia’s leading garden design teams.

Instrumental to the team’s success is Peter’s strong passion for simple lines that complement the surrounding landscape and architecture. His inspired designs are drawn from humble beginnings using the timeless elements of stone, glass, timber and water. Combined holistically these essential elements create powerful and graceful outdoor spaces.

The Peter Fudge Garden Design team’s inspiration is bred within four main design principles – balance, continuity, restraint and architecture. At the core of these principles are the owners of the garden, their lifestyle, appreciation and enthusiasm to create a space unique to their personal needs.

Peter’s gardens have been featured in Vogue Living, Belle, House and Garden, Domain, Inside Out, Home Beautiful and Better Homes & Gardens. Peter and his team have won awards at ABC Gardening Australia, Belle Garden of the Year 2003, Sydney in Bloom, Peter has been a Show Judge for ABC Gardening Australia Live and the City of Sydney garden competition.

Peter was Garden Editor of Sunday Life Magazine from January 2005 to December 2007 and Garden Editor for WISH Magazine in The Australian from June 2008 – December 2009.

Peter has released two books; the first in 2004 ‘Gardens’ published by Hardie Grant and in March 2010, ‘True Form’ published by Murdoch Books.

She enjoys pool design and designing one-off sculptural yet functional pieces.

Kate cites her inspiration from minimalist architecture and sculpture and the designs of Andy Goldsworthy, Glen Murcutt and Renzo Piano.
